Claymore - Anime & OST

Claymore is an excellent slasher/slayer anime featuring Clair, the "Hanjin-hanyou" (half-human/yôma).

A pretty fresh series that has been aired since April 2007 in Japan. The series is very well done for 26 episodes without any fillers, except for the usual flashbacks to fill in the gaps. I love gore! Claymore fulfills it with the almost believable purple blood and yôma chunks. Forget Dante's "Million-Stab", Clair's adapted technique aptly named "Flash-Sword" could also be called "Billion-Stab".

If you have spare bandwidth lying around, be sure to checkout Eclipse for the HQ (High-Quality) DVD-rips where possible & alternately the HD (High-Definition) H264 (.MKV) TV-rips, which is now my preferred video format for PC-viewing, with XviD sinking to #2.

The Intro (OP) and Outro (ED) songs are awesome. J-Pop is way kewler than Bollywood (hate most of em) and normal pop. Get both the torrents from Nipponsei. They're the best group for Anime & J-Pop OST's.

The singles are:
Claymore OP Single - Raison d'Etre [Nightmare]
Claymore ED Single - Danzai no Hana ~Guilty Sky~ [Kosaka Riyu]

When it comes to media players, none is better than Media Player Classic! With Xvid, FFDShow & the MatroskaPack installed, practically all video formats are playable.

Matroska allows various styles of subtitles, a stream of any video format, multiple streams of audio formats (for dual-language/audio) and chapter support.

My List of Favorite Anime Series of 2006 & 2007

I am an Otaku. I watch anime... alot of it, listen to anime OST's, sometimes read manga. I don't do cosplay, well maybe mentally.

If you haven't heard of or seen at least one anime, then its probably cos of one of these reasons. You think cartoons are for kids and completely shut it out of your maturity; you think Japanese sucks and it would feel weird if people watched you watching anime; you just don't know what the fuck anime is. Well its a world between fantasy and reality, passively... unless u wanna move with the tv-game controller and expect Mario to jump :P

Finally a list of proportion. Here's my seen-list of favorite anime series for 2006 & 2007.

Bleach

Claymore

Death Note

Devil May Cry

Ergo Proxy

Hellsing: Ultimate (OVA) ?

Mushishi

Naruto & Naruto: Shippuuden

Night Head Genesis

SearchMash

I found something quite interesting... SearchMash

It has been rumored to be Google Developers' playground and maybe even Google 2.0. I've managed to get one search in and it gave me splendid results for Images, Blogs, Videos and Wikipedia.

I love the way the next results transitionally appear below the previous ones. Damn wicked!
Please note these bits of the disclaimer:
" We may modify or terminate our services from time to time, for any reason, and without notice, including the right to terminate with or without notice, without liability to you, any other user or any third party... "
" YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT:
1. YOUR USE OF SEARCHMASH IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. SEARCHMASH IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS... "

Hope this simplifies your searches... I'd stick with Google for now!

Steam

Steam, which is an online gaming interface that collates numerous multi–player and single–player games, just got updated… again along with the Source Engine! Valve has added the Steam Community, which is almost like a statistic counter for the gamer. I use Steam specifically to play the Mods (modifications) associated with the games Half-Life® & Half-Life® 2 which is Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source respectively. These games & mods are commonly known as HL, HL2, CS & CSS. Here's my Steam Community link... aksn1p3r

Steam
GET IT NOW.

The hit games that Steam was originally made for is Half–Life and Counter–Strike. It evolved into what is now a portal consisting of game servers, games e–mall and alot of new freebies added on just for those who haven’t already purchased HL or HL2.

If you want to play any of the following games, you’ve gotta buy Half–Life 2 for the CD–Key that will generate your unique SteamID for lifelong use with anything we are allowed to access via steam.

Recommended: Half–Life: 2, jump into the already highly modified world and forget the old shit, also gives you access to Counter–Strike: Source, the most revered FPS MOD online imo.

or

For hardcore series-lovers: The Valve Premier Pack consists of ALL games prior to the original Half–Life game. Sure bet to keep you on a streak of gaming evolution from 1998 right upto current day. Damn! I can't believe I've been playing HL CS for so long! Check out the entire chronology at Valve.

Yahoo! Pipes

The new level of feeds and Web 2.0 is...

A pipe can take any data-driven feed combination, mash them up and spew them out in the formatting of data that the owner desires. Pipes also allow Google Base's Blogger to pump traffic to a larger audience that rely on Yahoo Base and if you'd like, MSN Base, Wikipedia and anything that offers feeds.

To generate your own site feed or an aggregate of many sites, you will need your feed URL or the other sites' feed URL's.

For posts, I just use the default "http://yourblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml".
You could also try "http://yourblog.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default/".

For comments, replace the URL with your comment feed URL which should default to "http://yourblog.blogspot.com/feeds/comments/default/".

Creating a Pipe

- "Sign In" with your Yahoo! ID,
- Click "Create a (new) pipe",
- From "Sources", drag a "Fetch Feed" module,
- Paste a feed URL into the "Fetch Feed" module.
- Connect the Pipe Output.

Sorting a Pipe
y:published is the key element of a feed when sorting chronologically.
To sort a pipe, use the "sort" module and arrange it in "descending" order as depicted.

From there click on "Save", then "Run Pipe",
In your output, choose "Get as RSS".

The page you end up on is your piped feed. Copy the URL from the address bar or subscribe using live bookmarks with firefox. What I use pipes for are recent comments on my blog and recent posts of other blogs. Now with just a click I can check all my friends' and their friends' blog activities and recent comments and posts.

I can also take that feed URL and embed it into Blogger's feed-widget, read it with Outlook or Google Reader or embed it on iGoogle. The possibilities are endless.

I would recommend using Feedburner after creating a pipe.
Simply put, after indexing my blog feed on Yahoo! Base using Pipes, I will re-index my blog on Google Base using FeedBurner. http://feeds.feedburner.com/Aksn1p3rs

There's so much more to pipes... just clone a few and play with them if its in your interest. I also like to play around with it cos of the connectors and the numerous data manipulating modules.
